A FINE NURSE GOES TO HER REWARD: Mrs. Louise P. East died at her home near Asheville, June 29 after several weeks illness, Mrs. East entered public health nursing in 1942 and for a number of years prior to her death was nursing consultant for the State Board of Health in the Western part of North Carolina. Mrs. East served as president of NCSNA in 1948 and 1949. She was a former president of NCPHA (NC Public Health Association) and the LNNC (League for Nursing in NC, later  known as the  NC League for Nursing Education and now known as the NC League for Nursing).
