Miss Jane Williams


                Miss Jane Williams has joined the staff of the District Health Department, effective Thursday, according to an announcement made by Dr. W.H. Bandy, health director.

                Miss Williams will serve the district as a supervisor of public health nurses, replacing Miss Frances Allen, who resigned from the district after many years of service to the three county area. 

                In making this announcement.  Dr. Bandy stated, “We are indeed fortunate to secure the services of Miss Williams for the district staff.  She is well qualified and trained.”

                She is a graduate of Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte, received her B.S. Degree in Nursing from Queens college, Charlotte, and her Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina.


Native of Virginia

                Miss Williams is a native of Indian Valley, Virginia, but declares North Carolina is her home by choice.

                Before coming to the District Health Department, Miss Williams was clinical supervising public health nurse in the Greensboro office of the Guilford County Health Center.

                Miss Williams is a member of the North Carolina Public Health Association, and the American Nurses Association.  She is a member of the Presbyterian church. 

                Miss Williams resides at 35 Thirty-first Avenue, NW, Hickory.
